By applying a supportive, compassionate, and caring approach, I help my clients use multiple tools to enhance and maintain their quality of life.

As your counselor, my goal is to engage you in co-creating an active treatment plan that is directly related to your identified concerns, issues and needs. I will guide you through the multiple layers of life's maze of twists and turns that include situations and experiences, feelings and emotions, thoughts, choices, and decision-making. Together we will make progress and move forward toward your desired outcome.

I do not prescribe to any particular counseling theory; thus I utilize therapeutic intervention techniques that fit or work with you. However, I tend to use one or more of the following therapeutic techniques in each session: cognitive-behavioral, interpersonal, insight-based, person-centered (supportive), reality therapy, orientation, solution-focused, and validation.

While my therapeutic specialty is working with adults and older adults who often have medical/health concerns, I am a generalist practitioner for individual (adults), couples, and family counseling/therapy. Treatment areas include: adjustment difficulties, aging concerns, anxiety/nervousness/worry, anger management, decreased health, depression/sadness/low mood, communication issues, disease specific issues, fatigue, forgetfulness, grief and loss, memory loss/confusion, life changes and transitions, life coaching, reduction in activities, and stress management.

I also offer psychological assessments/evaluations for consideration when a patient is seeking alternate approaches to conservative medical therapy and a psychological examination is required, e.g., when a patient is seeking alternate pain management therapies. This does require a physician order/referral.

I am a Medicare assignment provider and accept various insurance carriers. I offer reasonable rates for private-pay clients.
